Based on Menecmi, a greek comedy,
Venetian Twins tells the story of two brothers, one wise, the other stupid,
who happen to be in the same town.
One to marry a girl he has never
seen, the other to find his fiancee, escaped from Venice. The misunderstanding
are countless and extremely funny. A complex plot in the style of
the comedy of errors but with a tragic prefinal: the stupid brother, Zanetto
dies poisoned.
